Osmo Action 6 is DJI’s first action camera with a variable aperture of f/2.0–f/4.0. Compared to traditional cameras with a fixed aperture, it allows flexible aperture adjustment for different scenarios and lighting conditions [4].

1. Measured at room temperature of 25°C while recording 1080p/24 fps (16:9) video with RockSteady enabled, Wi-Fi off, voice control and gesture control off, and the displays off. Data were collected in a controlled environment and should be used for reference only. Actual battery life may vary when Osmo Action 6 is activated and used in the European Union and the United Kingdom due to local regulations regarding the product’s operating temperature. Please refer to real user experience.
2. Two DJI microphones are required. Direct connection to the first-generation DJI Mic is not supported. DJI microphones are sold separately.
3. Before use, close the battery compartment cover and the USB-C port cover and tighten the Glass Lens Cover. For extended underwater recording or environments with high water pressure, we recommend using the recommended waterproof case. Osmo Action 6 with the waterproof case is IP68 certified. Do not use the camera in hot springs or extreme aquatic environments, and do not allow it to come into contact with corrosive or unknown liquids. The shutter/record button will be disabled at a water pressure of approximately 0.14 MPa (at a depth of about 14 m). The actual depth at which the shutter/record button is disabled may vary depending on water conditions, air pressure, and the condition of the device.
4. In Auto mode, you can choose from five aperture ranges (f/2.0–f/4.0, f/2.2–f/4.0, f/2.4–f/4.0, f/2.6–f/4.0, and f/2.8–f/4.0), with the default setting being f/2.0–f/4.0. In Large Aperture mode (f/2.0), the aperture is set to f/2.0. Aperture modes may be limited depending on shooting modes and accessories. 5. Osmo Action 6 Standard Combo does not include the Osmo Action 6 Macro Lens; it is sold separately. After attaching the macro lens, the focusing distance can be set from 11 cm to 75 cm. The macro lens is not suitable for underwater use (e.g., diving) and is only splash-resistant. After attaching the macro lens, some shooting modes or features may be limited. For details, refer to the device display.
6. For optimal results, we recommend using the Starburst aperture mode (f/4.0) for night filming in the city at light intensity above 80 lux.
7. SuperNight mode supports 10-bit color depth. It does not support HorizonBalancing, HorizonSteady, the ultra-wide 155° field of view, or the 4:3 aspect ratio. In SuperNight mode, some aperture modes may not be available. For details, see the FAQ page on the official Osmo Action 6 website.
8. 10-bit color D-Log M can be enabled in Standard, Slow Motion, and Hyperlapse video modes.
9. To use 32× Super Slow Motion footage, you must record standard video at 1080p/240fps. After recording, you can apply the slow-motion effect with a single tap in the camera’s playback interface. The 960fps frame rate is an equivalent generated by in-camera interpolation at 1080p resolution, not native 4K.
10. EIS is not supported in Timelapse and Slow Motion modes. HorizonSteady and HorizonBalancing are supported for 1080p/2.7K/4K (≤ 60 fps) video in 16:9, and for 4K Custom video with a frame rate of 60 fps or lower.
11. 2× lossless zoom is not supported when taking 38 MP and 34 MP photos, nor in SuperNight, Subject Tracking, Slow Motion, and Timelapse modes.
12. Supported only at a 16:9 aspect ratio with a frame rate lower than 100 fps.
13. This feature requires a firmware update to the latest version.
14. The water pressure gauge activates at a depth of 1 meter underwater and works only when the camera is submerged without a waterproof case.
15. Both hands can be detected within a range of 2 meters. Do not cover your head with your hands. Raise your hand and open your palm to start or stop recording or take a photo. Effective distance may vary depending on future firmware updates.
16. Applies to cycling data from Huawei Watch/Band, Apple Watch, Garmin devices, or third-party FIT files.
17. Osmo Action 6 Standard Combo does not include the Osmo Action 6 FOV Boost Lens; it is sold separately. The FOV Boost Lens is not suitable for underwater use (e.g., diving) and is only splash-resistant. When the FOV Boost Lens is attached, Slow Motion mode is not supported.
18. The native field of view of Osmo Action 6 can reach up to 155°. After attaching the FOV Boost Lens, the Osmo Action 6 field of view expands to 182°. Although 182° is the maximum optical field of view achievable with this model, the actual field of view may vary slightly during recording depending on distortion correction and stabilization settings.
19. Applies only to iOS devices and certain Android devices that support third-party Live Photos integration.
20. Applies to devices that support third-party Bluetooth remote control protocols, including HUAWEI WATCH 5, HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2, Wuyang-Honda motorcycles (G150, F125, NSP), Amazfit watches (T-Rex Ultra, CheetahPro, Falcon), Giant cycling computers (PLANET G9), etc. GPS Bluetooth remote controllers are sold separately.
21. For high-speed USB 3.1 transfer, a USB 3.1 compatible cable is required and sold separately. In an interference-free environment, the wireless transfer speed for photos/videos stored in built-in memory can reach up to 80 MB/s, while for photos/videos stored on an SD card it can reach up to 50 MB/s. The included USB-C to USB-C PD cable (USB 3.1) supports transfer speeds up to 300 MB/s.
22. Measured in laboratory conditions at 25°C using a USB-C charger that supports the standard PD 3.0 protocol with a maximum PD output of 30 W or higher, with photo/video functions disabled and displays off. Data were collected in a controlled environment and should be used for reference only.
23. EIS is not supported in Timelapse and Slow Motion modes on Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Action 5 Pro. HorizonSteady supports only 1080p/2.7K video (≤ 60 fps) in 16:9, and HorizonBalancing supports only 1080p/2.7K/4K video (≤ 60 fps) in 16:9.
24. Subject Tracking is available only when shooting horizontally and supports video recording up to 2.7K/60 fps in 16:9 and 9:16. If the Osmo Action 6 Macro Lens is attached, Subject Tracking is not supported.
25. Measured in laboratory conditions at -20°C and 45°C while recording 1080p/24fps (16:9) video, with RockSteady enabled, Wi-Fi off, and displays off. Maximum continuous recording times were 167 minutes at -20°C and 190 minutes at 45°C. Data were obtained in a controlled environment and are for reference only.
