Stunning 2K QHD images with HDR technology

The BlackVue ELITE 8 series is equipped with the latest Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor, which allows you to record extremely sharp videos in 2K QHD (1440p) resolution. Combined with a bright f/2.0 lens and a seven-element lens, the camera delivers excellent image quality during sunny days and in night conditions.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology significantly reduces highlights while preserving details in darker areas – for a perfectly balanced and realistic recording of the entire scene.

HDR for perfect night vision

The BlackVue ELITE 8 also excels in challenging night conditions - thanks to advanced HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, it can capture balanced and sharp images not only during the day, but also in low light.
Whether you're walking down a night street, through a dark tunnel, or out into the bright sun, HDR technology automatically balances contrasts, prevents overexposure, and preserves detail in shadows.

Comprehensive event detection

BlackVue ELITE 8 automatically recognizes and records all important situations while driving and parking - impacts, sudden acceleration, sharp braking, unexpected changes of direction or speeding.
For this purpose, it uses a built-in G-sensor and GPS module , which together ensure that no critical moment is left unrecorded.
Thanks to this, you always have an overview of what is happening with your vehicle – whether you are behind the wheel or away from the car.

Different parking modes

Up to 12 months of protection with Power Saving mode!

In extreme power saving mode , the BlackVue ELITE 8 goes into standby mode and only wakes up when an impact is detected. When an event is detected, it automatically saves 1 minute of video before going back to sleep.
Thanks to this, it can reliably protect your vehicle for several weeks with continuous power supply or up to several months if connected to the additional BlackVue Ultra Battery (B-130A) .

What makes this mode special?

• Extremely low power consumption: less than 0.5 mA , which is a hundred times less than the typical operating power consumption of most cameras.

• Instant response: the camera is activated within 1 second upon impact.

• Minimal heating: it emits almost no heat in standby mode, making it ideal even for hot weather.

• The perfect solution for long-term parking: for example at the airport, at home or in places with low vehicle traffic.

📌 Note: Power saving mode does not support pre-buffering - event recording will start within 2 seconds of impact detection. This is an ideal way to significantly reduce power consumption while capturing all the important moments.

Motion Detection – recording when moving

Standard parking surveillance

The camera is always on standby and starts recording as soon as it detects movement around the vehicle – for example, a person walking past the car or another vehicle passing by.

The camera continuously buffers images and automatically starts recording when motion is detected.
You can adjust the motion sensitivity as needed and exclude certain detection zones to reduce false alarms (e.g. from trees or moving shadows).
An ideal solution for monitoring what is happening around a parked car in typical urban conditions.

Note: This parking mode includes pre-event recording – the camera saves video starting 10 seconds before the incident , so you always see the whole process, not just the aftermath. In each mode, the camera automatically starts recording the event upon any impact.

Battery Protection

The system automatically turns off the camera to prevent the car battery from draining .

Note: The feature requires a fixed power supply – using the BlackVue OBD II power cable or the professional CH-3P1 power cable .

Low Voltage Cut-off Protection

The camera will automatically turn off if the battery voltage drops below a preset level .
This will prevent excessive battery discharge, which could affect engine starting .
The voltage threshold can be adjusted – typically from 11.8 V to 12.5 V for 12V systems or from 23.6 V to 25.0 V for 24V systems, depending on the vehicle type and user preferences.

Time limit – Timer Cut-off

The camera will automatically turn off after the selected recording time in parking mode.
You can set a time limit (e.g. 6, 12, 24 hours, etc.) to limit the operating time while parked, even if the battery voltage is still sufficient.
This extends the battery life when the vehicle is parked for a long time.
